IS THERE ANY RELIABLE EVIDENCE OF A MEETING WITH EXTRATERRESTRIAL INTELLIGENCE?

Most of the reports about aliens are provoked by science fiction or rumors, some are deliberate deception, few are associated with the observation of rare atmospheric and anthropogenic phenomena or the erroneous interpretation of historical sources. Targeted attempts to detect extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI and METI programs, searches for astro-engineering activities, etc.) have so far been unsuccessful.
